But if you can mentally tune that out, there’s a ton of stuff to learn from this. The sound of the upper end of the piano is slightly covered by the repeating pizzicato (plucked) violin in the backing string arrangement. There are quite a few good shots of the piano keyboard in the video, and it’s worth watching all the way through: Spektor is full-on piano ninja, and you can really see her skills shining through when she performs. ‘Fidelity’, like all her stuff, is great – but what’s really interesting here is the way she’s holding her hands.
